The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust plans to protect 34 acres of land, including a civil war site, at the headwaters of Flint Creek in Springtown, according to a press release from the trust.

On the evening of Nov. 2, those wishing to learn a Civil War-era dance can attend a period-dress ball, though the ball will cost $10 per adult and $6 per child ages 6-12.

According to Brown, Civil War Trails is a 100% outdoor history venue that serves multiple constituencies. Visitors want to learn about the distinctive historic footsteps they are tracing.
