President Donald Trump is raising eyebrows in Washington with his approach to China. Concerns are growing that he might offer concessions that could hurt U.S. interests in his quest to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

President Donald Trump said on Tuesday the U.S. was close to a trade deal with China and that he would meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping before the end of the year if an agreement is struck.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit China on Aug. 31 for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, marking his first visit since 2019, reported NDTV. There is a possibility that Modi will hold an informal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the conference.
