China's Chongqing Changan Automobile, in a statement sent to Reuters on Wednesday, denied allegations reported in local media that it had arbitrarily cut payments to suppliers by 10%.

Changan’s substantial investment of 1.83 billion yuan (about US$251 million) will facilitate the establishment of a production facility with an annual output capacity of 100,000 units.
