Around 120 people were involved in the project to pull down the 42m (138ft) long Castleton Bridge over the M62 before the road re-opened on Monday at 4.55am.

The M62 motorway will undergo a 57-hour closure at Rochdale over a four-day period commencing on Friday, September 20 at 9pm, to facilitate the construction of a new railway bridge.
