The Carolina Wren, Thryothorus ludovicianus is a small reddish-brown wren that loves yards and neighborhoods. Wrens tend to skulk and conceal themselves, so you might not see them too often!

Carolina wrens prefer bushy habitat with lots of cover. If possible, allow an area on your property to become a bit more wild and unruly, and place a wren box near that area.

The Carolina Wren is a small, chunky cinnamon-colored bird with a very large ‘voice.’ They are very shy so you will most likely hear them before you see them.
