A faculty rights group at Columbia University condemned the administration's decision to call on the NYPD for assistance in gaining control over an anti-Israel protest at the campus library.

A pro-Palestinian protest at Columbia University by CUAD has taken over a room in Butler Library as students study for final exams.

No fresh action was announced against Columbia University, although the Trump administration suspended more than $400 million in grants and contracts earlier this year.

As of Wednesday, the university official said, there was no evidence that data had been compromised, no indication of ransomware and no sign of a deep incursion into Columbia’s information systems.
