FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A portion of Interstate 5 was shut down near Coalinga after a fatal car crash led to a grass fire on Thursday night.

He added that a big rig also was involved in the crash. The crash happened about 3:30 a.m. and blocked all lanes of eastbound I-80 and created a mess on I-580, as well, according to the CHP.
