Cape buffalo charge thousands of people each year; their sudden and unpredictable attacks with their massive, curved horns, injure many and kill around 200 every year.

An adult Cape buffalo can weigh between 600 and 2,000 pounds (270 and 907 kilograms) and stand between 4 and 5.6 feet (1.2 and 1.7 meters) tall at the shoulder.
