If we're talking about a straight Source 2 port of CS:GO, the average Counter-Strike player may not notice a big difference—in theory, the Source 2 version will play just like the Source version.

Counter-Strike 2, a massive relaunch of CS:GO that Valve calls "the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history," is slated to arrive on Steam in Summer 2023.
