Buko is young coconut meat, while pandan refers to leaves from the Asian plant that are often used to perfume desserts. Gulaman is a plant-derived substance made from seaweed and is similar to Jell-O.

In a big bowl, combine the gelatin with juice, buko strips with juice, condensed milk and coconut gels. Add three teaspoons of pandan flavoring. Chill in the fridge for about two hours and serve.

In extract or paste form, pandan is used in desserts, such as in buko pandan salad, a popular cold dessert in the Philippines made with jelly cubes, young coconut and sweetened cream.
