The iconic crackers are getting a makeover. Snack company Triscuit overhauls major problem with iconic crackers — here's what's new in the box first appeared on The Cool Down.

Consumers can now find the new Triscuit packaging on supermarket shelves across the US and Canada. Mondelēz International collaborated with Berry Global and LyondellBasell for the initiative.

For the outer box in Triscuit packaging, Mondelez said it uses 100% recycled paperboard containing 35% post-consumer recycled content. Wheat used in Triscuit crackers also is sourced more sustainably.

Hopefully, using up to 50% recycled plastic for the inner bag in whole wheat Triscuit packaging is only the first of many steps the company will take to reform its harmful practices.
