A cat is recovering after seemingly surviving a fall at Bryce Canyon National Park. It was found in a carrier near the bodies of two people.

The fatal fall occurred near Inspiration Point, one of the park’s most iconic viewpoints, known for its sweeping vistas of Utah’s rugged hoodoo-filled landscape. The Associated Press reports that Garfield County Sheriff’s Department said the incident likely happened late Monday or early Tuesday, though the exact timing remains unclear.
