Early results from the Primary Election on Tuesday show some close races-- with Seattle being a hot one. As of the first returns, incumbent Bruce Harrell is trailing challenger Katie Wilson by nearly 1,300 votes. Both have such a lead that they will appear on the November ballot.

An initial round of 2025 primary election returns will be released around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Washington state. The returns are from ballots that were turned in early and tabulated. Counties will release additional results in the days after the election as more ballots are counted. Additional results are typically released daily.
