The Body Shop shutters all store locations in United States as chain files for bankruptcy The UK-based company announced its US subsidiary is no longer operational, effective March 1.

The company said, "Also effective today, March 1, 2024, The Body Shop US Limited has ceased operations" in an announcement concerning Canadian locations.

It’s a move that comes after The Body Shop International Ltd. officially entered into administration -- the U.K. equivalent of Chapter 11 Bankruptcy – on Feb. 13.

When The Body Shop fell into administration in February this year, administrators said that including its overseas operations, the firm had been hit by $76 million losses in 2022.
