A 41-year-old Oakmans, Ala., man drowned during the early morning hours Monday during a cave diving accident at Blue Spring State Park in Jackson County Florida, said Sheriff John McDaniel.

According to the state, 932 manatees live in Blue Springs water prior to the release. Wednesday’s release drew big crowds for people eager to see that tally grow.
