Blue Dragon follows the story of five friends (Shu, Jiro, Kluke, Zola, and Marumaro) as they travel across the world to confront Nene, the evil ruler of the Grand Kingdom.

In Blue Dragon, players take on the role of a boy named Shu and his two friends: an intellectual boy named Jiro, and a girl named Kluke (who is a bit mature for her age).

The Blue Dragon demo began with a brief description of what the game is all about. The star of the game is Shu, a young boy who is able to harness the power of special shadow creatures.

Given that our amnesiac hero is the only person able to use a Shadow (his being the titular Blue Dragon), he’s drafted into a quest to discover the source of the light and restore power to the town.
