As Ryan Coogler works to bring MCU fans a third installment in the Black Panther franchise, casting speculation grows around the superhero movie. Damson Idris recently offered a playful “yes-no” in response to whether or not he’s been in contact with Marvel Studios about a role in an upcoming Black Panther movie following recent rumors.

Damson Idris has addressed speculation that he could become the next Black Panther. During an appearance on the Today show on Wednesday, the F1 actor was asked if he had had any conversations with Marvel Studios about becoming the next iteration of the superhero in the third Black Panther movie.

The "F1" actor also hinted that he may have already had talks with Marvel about the role. Damson Idris is adding further fuel to those rumors that he may be taking over the role of T’Challa, famously played onscreen by the late Chadwick Boseman,
