A woman who wanted her partner to give her a decent birthday after he failed the year before was furious to find out he had used an AI program to write her card.

She said they were meant to be travelling, but that: "I open the card and it really read like ChatGPT wrote it. I was so upset. I asked him about it and he owned up to it.
