BELL SELECTS HONEYWELL ENGINE FOR UPGRADED 407 - Bell Helicopter selected Honeywell's HTS900 turboshaft to replace the Rolls Royce 250-C47B engine on new Bell 407 single-engine turbine helicopters.
A single-engine, seven-seat light utility helicopter, the 407 is powered by a Rolls-Royce Model 250-C47B turboshaft engine rated at 813 shp. The 407 is sold in both the military and civil markets.
