PREDEAL, Romania -- A skier in Romania had a lucky escape when he was chased by a brown bear down the slopes this week with onlookers saying the skier's quick thinking probably saved his life.

Officers were called to the island after the bear was seen chasing livestock in the Crescent Bay Road area and will determine any next steps, if warranted.
