ROBSTOWN, Texas — The Cutting Edge Barber Shop and Beauty Salon in Robstown has been in business for nearly 23 years, but recently moved to a new location in the middle of the pandemic.

"I never thought we would have a barbershop at school or any of the schools that I've gone to, but they made it happen, and I'm thankful for that," McDaniel told 11 News.
The Black-owned shop has been at its current location since 1977. It was part of a string of Black businesses that sprang up when much of L.A. was still segregated.
