For a second year, a limited run of mini canvas tote bags had people waiting in line outside Trader Joe’s stores. At some stores, they sold out in less than an hour.

The $2.99 Trader Joe's tote bags − available in blue, red, green and yellow − will be back in stock by late summer, store spokesperson Nakia Rohde told USA TODAY on Monday.

But, there is a range of tote bags out there—from basic canvas to high-priced designer bags—and it’s hard to know which one has that right mix of capacity, durability, and style.
