An average human reacts to visual stimuli in around 0.2–0.25 seconds. Elite badminton players with trained reflexes, anticipation, and muscle memory can cut this time down to 0.12–0.15 seconds.

To this end, we introduce an approach for enabling legged mobile manipulators to play badminton, a task that requires precise coordination of perception, locomotion, and arm swinging.
