Artist Mihaela Noroc has made it her mission to spread that message with The Atlas of Beauty. "In my opinion, beauty means to keep alive your origins and your culture," she explains on her site.

Noroc’s mission is simple: criss-cross the planet, snap pics of the women she meets whom she finds beautiful, make a book out of all that beauty. She raised close to $40,000 through IndieGoGo ...

The result is a dazzling book— The Atlas of Beauty: Women in the World in 500 Portraits— that firmly establishes Noroc as a cultural Magellan.

Noroc, who has a recently published book, "The Atlas of Beauty: Women of the World in 500 Portraits," is continuing her portrait project, seeking to demonstrate that all women are beautiful.
