ATLANTA — Starting Tuesday, Uber users in Atlanta can request a ride in a driverless vehicle, as the company officially launches its partnership with autonomous vehicle firm Waymo.
Waymo currently conducts approximately 250,000 rides each week in its four main markets. The company has also said it will launch in Miami and Washington, DC with its own Waymo One app.
Meanwhile, Waymo said it provides 250,000 paid robotaxi rides every week across Austin, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and San Francisco. The addition of Atlanta to that list should push those numbers up.
