It will be Hawthorne Academy's first time to take part in the annual Fiesta event, and their entry will be the only school float on the 3.1-mile parade route when the event gets underway on Saturday.

The countdown is on for the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco this weekend, and artists are putting the finishing touches on the parade floats inside the Pier 19 warehouse.
