Tour the iconic Master Apartments, an Art Deco tower and former home of The Riverside Museum, with a descandent of artist in residence Anna Walinska!

The art on view, twenty-two years after Walinska’s passing, was made during her sixteen year stretch as an artist-in-residence at the Riverside Museum from 1955 to 1971.

Riverside city officials ultimately agreed. In 2017, Marin’s touring collection, “ Papel Chicano Dos: Works on Paper From the Collection of Cheech Marin,” visited the Riverside Art Museum.

The term ‘art deco’ is a snappy derivation of its title. Deco – characterised by clean lines, bold geometric shapes and jazzy colours – was seen as thrustingly modern.
