Robert Landau, who began photographing L.A. during the late 1960s, has a new Art Deco photo book out from Angel City Press, along with an exhibit at WeHo's Denenberg Fine Arts Gallery.

For the limited space that the hotel has, I’ve tried to get a good mix of pictures that will fit alongside the wonderful art deco interior. What are your memories of the shoots?

The 1,046-foot-tall Chrysler Building, completed in May of 1930, was the pinnacle of both the then-unnamed Art Deco period and the skyscraper boom that rapidly transformed New York City’s skyline.
