Arsenal have agreed a transfer with Valencia for 21-year old Spanish centerback Cristhian Mosquera. The Gunners will pay £13M upfront with a further £4.3M to be paid in the future. The highly-rated youngster was entering the final year of his contract and had turned down an extension to remain in Spain,

Arsenal are working to complete a deal to sign Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera. Personal terms are in place with the 21-year-old and the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement. The Athletic previously reported that the north London side were working on a deal to sign Mosquera with a defensive signing a priority this summer.

Arsenal expect to reach a full agreement with Sporting inside the next 24 hours for the 73.5m euros (£63.5m) signing of Viktor Gyokeres.
