Thousands of people are expected to turn out this weekend for the national Apple Harvest Festival in Adams County. It is the 60th year of the event, which is held at the South Mountain Fairgrounds.

The first weekend of the Southington Apple Harvest Festival was set to kick off on Friday. The festival runs from Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13. The tents and booths were set up earlier in the week.
