Jacksonville is working to move some residents out of the Hilltop Village Apartments and has earmarked $140,000 to help tenants with a range of emergency needs such as moving expenses.

According to a press release from JPD, since 2022 there have been 2,084 calls to the apartments, costing $254 average per call or $529,336 to the city of Jacksonville.

Approximately 427 new apartments are set to be built, along with parking and land set aside for conservation. Many tell Action News Jax they don’t want to see Adventure Landing go.
