BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Louisiana Department of Corrections worker accused of smuggling cell phones into the Angola Prison resigned before her arrest Sunday.

Nearly three years after parents sued state officials over holding youth at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, Judge Shelly Dick dismissed the class-action lawsuit.
