Amherst College students, faculty and alumni have decided on the school's first official mascot: the Mammoth. Nearly 9,295 alumni and students participated in a vote on the mascot from March 20 to 31.

They went to Amherst? Amherst College has produced its fair share of successful grads: actors, authors, world leaders and more once studied at Frost Library and and cheered on the purple and white.
