The American Red Cross of Central Maryland is holding its first-ever virtual race. Misty Bruce from the American Red Cross joins Fox45 Morning News to talk about the importance of this event.

To donate to the American Red Cross, donors can schedule an appointment using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

The Red Cross will host virtual Disaster Action Team trainings next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to quickly add more volunteers to their teams.

Ryan Dolce has a goal to donate platelets at every American Red Cross donation station in the nation. In the Columbus area, he donated on June 23, 2025 in Lewis Center.
