Boston scored six runs against Valdez in a frame that snowballed amid a mashup of mistakes and base hits. An offense feeble over three days at Fenway Park could not overcome it. And the Houston Astros departed on the heels of a sweep by the Red Sox, finished with a 6-1 loss that was the the 15th in their last 22 games.

The Astros offense will try to right the ship tomorrow night against a now red-hot Miami Marlins team who are winners of their last 4 in a row, including spanking the pinstripes off of an also tail spinning New York Yankees team. (Yes, even at our worst, I have time to dunk on the Yankees.)
