Stargate returns to TV with new Amazon Prime series
The iconic circular portal is powering up once again, and this time it’s opening a wormhole directly to Amazon Prime Video. After years of fan speculation and quiet hope, the beloved sci-fi franchise Stargate is officially returning to television with a major new series,
Amazon's AI-generated Video Recaps on Prime Video provide 'comprehensive season recaps' to bring viewers up to speed on their favorite shows.
Chevron 7 is locked, as Amazon greenlights a new 'Stargate' show for Prime Video led by longtime franchise figure Martin Gero.
According to Amazon, the feature "utilizes generative AI to create theatrical-quality season recaps with synchronized narration, dialogue, and music."
The service, Video Recaps, uses generative artificial intelligence for Prime Video to get better at “Previously On…” summaries to allow viewers to jump back in between seasons.
In addition to his work in “Stargate,” Gero is known for creating the NBC series “Blindspot” starring Jaimie Alexander, which aired for five seasons. He was also the showrunner on NBC’s reboot of “Quantum Leap” and has produced shows such as The CW’s “Kung Fu” reboot and the limited series “Keep Breathing.”
If you're looking to buy one of the best new TVs, then this deal is a great opportunity, as Amazon's best Black Friday sales means it's in control of price-cutting its own-brand TV sets. This is a decent telly, too, as we called the Omni QLED 4K model a "feature-packed deal" in our full review.
