The Los Angeles Galaxy “mutually agreed to part ways” with midfielder Aleksandar Katai on Friday after the MLS club learned that Katai’s wife shared “racist and violent” social media posts.

Aleksandar Katai, a 29-year-old midfielder from Serbia, was released by the L.A. Galaxy on Friday after his wife posted social media messages earlier this week mocking George Floyd protesters.
