The city is short $12.8 million annually in street funding. Over a third of Albany’s local roads are considered to be in poor condition, according to a 2021 assessment.

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy said a pilot street psychiatry program intends to reach people across the county who are traditionally unable to get help or follow through with medical care.
