While space weather is notoriously hard to predict, here's what we know about Central Indiana's chances of seeing the northern lights.

According to the NOAA, 24 states, including Alaska, Montana and North Dakota, might have a chance to see the northern lights June 1 and June 2.

The northern lights were visible as far south as New Mexico on Saturday night, The Washington Post reported, and others saw light displays in Wyoming and Utah. Some viewers in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were able to see the aurora as well, according to local outlet KOCO5.
