Alan Jackson is taking the stage for a special performance at the ACM Awards on May 8. The country star has been on a farewell tour due to an illness called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.

Country star Alan Jackson has retired from touring after more than three decades on the road. Jackson, 66, had previously announced that he would end his touring career after battling health issues.

With more than 20 albums and collections to his name, Alan Jackson is one of country music’s most influential artists. Most recently, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ACM Awards.

Jackson is no stranger to lifetime achievement awards. In 2022 and 2024, his extensive body of work was honored by the Country Music Association and Nashville Songwriters Association International.
