Mazda is recalling 171,412 CX-30 SUVs and 3 sedans and hatchbacks because a unique sequence of events might deactivate their airbags, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants in a crash.

67 million vehicles from more than a dozen car makers have reportedly been impacted by the recall, The new report from CARFAX shows 5.7 million cars still have yet to have their airbags replaced.

Subaru’s new Forester features the world’s first airbag designed specifically for cyclists. The technology previously focused on pedestrians only, but is now larger to help both groups.
