The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will fly onto Long Island Tuesday ahead of this weekend’s Jones Beach air show. Beachgoers on Jones Beach will get a chance to see the jets today as they arrive on Long Island before landing at MacArthur Airport.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are set to headline the FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach State Park on Memorial Day weekend.

Maj. Jeffrey "Simmer" Downie, 34, of Arlington, Virginia, is the lead solo pilot for the Thunderbirds, who makes his return to Jones Beach after helping staff operations on the ground in 2023.
