Hypertension – also known as high blood pressure – is a growing problem. Recent statistics indicate that 46 percent of American adults (or more than 100 million individuals) suffer from hypertension.

The 2021 census results show that Jackson is the city having the highest percentage of African American population in the country – estimated at 81.84% by The U.S. Census Bureau.
