Offering local and hyper-local, Medina-made items, Acme's Medina store is opening for the first time at 7 a.m. on Aug. 7.

The new Medina Acme will cover 56,360 square feet and is expected to employ about 80 workers. The store will host a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 11 and 12.

Acme's first hiring event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31, at the Medina Community Recreation Center, 855 Weymouth Road in Medina, Swartz said.
