Several stores in New York City were damaged on Wednesday after a fire erupted in a deli in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. The fire happened at approximately 3:30 a.m.

CBS New York spoke to regulars at the deli. One man said he left just a short while before the shots were fired. "I was shocked I was there. I could've been the one," he said. "It could've been me.

The fire started in a deli in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx at about 3:30 a.m., New York Fire Department Assistant Chief Thomas Currao said in a briefing at the scene.
