The game will be a part of the third annual Challenge between the Southeastern and Atlantic Coast conferences. Missouri's game against Notre Dame will be played in South Bend, Indiana. A date and time for the game is yet to be announced.

The Lady Vols lead the all time series against Stanford, 25-14. Stanford has won the last four meetings and prevailed in seven of the last 10 contests. The two teams last played during the 2022-23 season with the Cardinal recording a, 77-70, victory at home.

Lady Vols basketball will face Stanford in the SEC/ACC Challenge in the 2025-26 season, renewing the series that ended after 2022-23 season.
