BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A loaded gun was confiscated from a Philip Simmons High School student Tuesday "without incident," according to Berkeley County School District officials.

Three Warren G. Harding High School seniors — Trinity Walker, Natalie James and Sonia Pitts — were awarded scholarships at the event.

Micheal Burt, who has been teaching at A. Philip Randolph High School for the past eight years, told First Coast News these CTE classes are beneficial to students before entering the workforce.
