What have they done to Beowulf, everyone’s least favorite Old English epic about a hero’s battles with a monster, the monster’s mother and an annoying dragon who turns up 50 years later?

It's been 50 years since Hollywood first started flirting ... The stories being filmed are just as flimsy. Of course Beowulf does have a more impressive literary pedigree than, say, Bwana Devil.
