Some of the courses included are reportedly SNES Choco Island 2, DS Luigi's Mansion, 3DS Toad Circuit, and 3DS Mario Circuit.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's third wave of DLC courses, as part of its Booster Course Pass, will introduce eight new tracks, including ones for fall and winter called Maple Treeway and Merry Mountain.

That weaker track is Toad's Circuit, a recreation of the 3DS Mario Kart 7 track. It's well-made and straightforward, but it's just a bit on the bland side.

After all, the 3DS launched without a Mario game … and everyone knows that it’s the Italian plumber as well as his lesser-known sibling Luigi who do much to drive Nintendo game machine sales.
