This year's event marks exactly 100 years since the first instalment of the Le Mans 24hr, and with Ferrari returning to the top vehicle class for the first time in 50 years, it's set to be a good one.

Le Mans Classic, the vintage car extravaganza, will return in 2022 and event sponsor Richard Mille is marking the occasion with a limited edition watch mirroring the event’s green and white colors.

The team said in a statement Wednesday that Heidfeld, 34, would share a Lola-Toyaota car with Nicolas Prost and Neel Jani at the 80th edition of the Le Mans race, the Sebring 12 Hours and Spa 6 Hours.
